Sending Bitcoin on L1:

  1. Open your existing wallet or create a new one. Here’s the article on how to create your first wallet.

Press the send to send on-chain (L1) or Lightning (L2) sats

2. Press ‘Send’ and choose ‘Send Bitcoin on-chain’ for L1 Bitcoin transactions. Keep in mind that BitMask is a Taproot wallet, and Bitcoin can only be sent to other Taproot-supported wallets. Here is a list of Taproot-supported wallets: list.

To send on-chain, click "Send on-chain"

3. Enter the recipient’s wallet address or scan the QR code if you’re using the web wallet on your phone. Enter the amount of satoshis (sats) you want to send, choose the transaction fee rate, and click ‘Next’.

4. On the next step, you can double-check your transaction details, and once you are satisfied, click ‘Confirm’.

5. Congratulations! You have made your first Bitcoin L1 transfer in BitMask.

Congratulations! The transaction has been broadcasted and on its way to being confirmed.

6. Now you can check the status of your payment on the Mempool. Click ‘View Transaction on Mempool’.
